Grades K-6. Are you ready for a fun hands-on musical learning experience? This program is a chance for you to learn about music and make some music! The D62's are comprised of music teachers, classroom teachers, retired teachers, and principals.
Parents, caregivers, and children who live in Des Plaines can use their library card or driver’s license with Des Plaines address to pick up a free admission ticket beginning 30 minutes prior to the program. Tickets are available at the Youth Services Desk, and program participant must be present for ticket. Any remaining tickets will be distributed to all patrons, first-come first-served, 5 minutes prior to program start.
The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
