A 20's and 30's program. Meet us in the Canvas to make an abstract painting with a pour technique. No drawing or art skills necessary, but you may want to wear something you don't mind getting acrylic paint on.

Note for participants: we highly recommend leaving the finished painting here to dry, since the quantity and consistency of the paint is likely to move around and get messed up if you were to transport it home the same night.  You may pick up your painting as early as July 22. We will hold the paintings on our drying rack for up to 3 weeks.

Supplies and 21+ refreshments will be provided.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
