Meeting Room B/CThe upcoming Lunar New Year season lasts from February 6, 2027 to February 20, 2027. It is a holiday observed by about 20% of the world's population, yet many are unfamiliar with how it is celebrated. Educator Yvonne Wolf will tell us about the rites, activities, symbols, and foods associated with it and how you can participate in your own home. Whether it is your first time celebrating this cross-cultural festival or part of your annual routine, it’s time to ram up for the Year of the Goat.

Des Plaines Public Library
The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
