Learn the skills necessary to be a safe and responsible babysitter. This training covers basic child care, and home safety. It is designed to help teens develop skills in leadership and professionalism, including how to advertise and interview for babysitting jobs. Participants will received a certificate of completion.
Bring a sack lunch. Cookies and drinks will be provided.

This program is open to Des Plaines Library cardholders only. Registration is required and space is limited. Registrants, please notify us if you are unable to attend so that we may offer your place to another patron.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
