Create something beautiful from recycled materials!!!
Members of the Des Plaines Art Guild will be conducting a series of workshops at the Des Plaines Public Library. They will teach you how to work with different materials as you discover the artist within you.
You will be encouraged to display the art you create in your front yard during the Terrain Biennial from October 1 through November 15, 2023. Be creative with your yard display. This is a unique project conceived by the Des Plaines Art Guild as a way for our community to participate in the larger event.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
