Interested in using the machines in the brand new Canvas Makerspace? Des Plaines Public Library cardholders must attend an orientation and sign a waiver. Register for your orientation today! Group orientation classes on Zoom will only be available until August 1st. For ages 15 and up.
If you cannot attend the Wednesday or Thursday zoom orientation, please contact the Canvas desk at CanvasDesk@dppl.org or call the Canvas Desk at (847) 376-2936 to request an alternative day or a disability modification. You will be assigned a day and time to sit in the Canvas with a laptop to watch a recording of the orientation.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
