4th Floor Forum

Join staff for the April session of our hand lettering course! This month's course will focus on styles using a broad edge nib. We will be introducing Speedball Series C nibs.

This program is beginner friendly!

Supplies will be provided, but anyone who practices calligraphy and hand lettering may choose to bring and use their own nib and nib holder.

Please be sure to fill out the registration questions. If you would like a copy of the presentation slides, please register with your email.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
