Sign up to receive one book bag per month containing a librarian-picked book from our collection and some bookish goodies to keep!

If registered on or after the middle of the current month, you will NOT receive the book bag that month. Register no later than the first week of the current month that the bag is wanted to guarantee a bag is made!
An email will always be sent when a bag has been made. If you don't receive an email, a book bag is NOT available for pick up. Make sure email is valid and not full to receive this notice!
You will receive an email when your bag is ready each month! Bags will be available by the middle of the month and the book inside will need to be checked out. These can be picked up at the 3rd Floor Desk!
If book bags are not picked up, bags will be reused and a new bag will not be made. If bags are consistently not picked up, selector will discontinue making them

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
